Most useful: errors
If a number, a date or a tag looks wrong, say which page, which sentence, and what the source actually says. Typical problems worth reporting:
- an effect size, sample size, percentage or year that does not match the paper;
- a quotation that is worded differently in the original, or attributed to the wrong person;
- a DOI that points to the wrong paper, or a citation with the wrong details;
- a replication tag that does not fit the evidence, or a scope line (population, material, test delay) that is too broad.
A DOI or a page number makes a report much quicker to check. Confirmed errors are corrected on the page and dated on Erased and rewritten. How tags are decided is set out on From paper to tag.
Also welcome
- New evidence: a replication, a meta-analysis, a retraction, a correction or an expression of concern that bears on a claim here. Please include the DOI.
- Earlier or better sources: for the origin of a myth, a famous quotation or a cautionary story, an earlier record than the one cited, with where it can be read.
- Images: a portrait, a historical photograph or an engraving that is in the public domain in both the United States and the European Union, or released under CC0 or CC BY. Please include the page where it is published and its license.
Not handled here

- Personal study plans, course design or homework answers.
- Requests to review an app, a course or any other product.
- Education policy questions.
- Requests for persuasion lines, sales scripts or ways to pressure people. The Influence & Persuasion articles explain techniques so readers can recognize them, not use them.
